Bill Maher, Democrat and the host of “Real Time,” recently speculated on the possibility of President Biden engaging in a debate with former President Trump, expressing concerns about the potential outcome. During a segment on YouTube’s “Overtime,” Maher posed the question of whether Biden would agree to a face-off with his 2020 rival and whether it would be advisable.
Maher shared his belief that Biden might indeed agree to the debate but cautioned that it could turn out unfavorably for him. Pointing out their similar ages, Maher observed that Trump manages to avoid appearing as old and feeble as Biden does, which could give him an advantage in a live debate scenario.
British TV personality Piers Morgan echoed Maher’s sentiments, asserting that Trump would likely dominate Biden in a live debate, citing Biden’s limited exposure to live press conferences as evidence of his potential vulnerability.
William Shatner, affectionately referred to by Maher as the “old wise one” of the panel, added that Biden could potentially avoid directly answering questions during the debate, much like he did in the 2020 debates.
