Ocasio-Cortez Snaps On Top Democrat

AOC needs to control herself and stop acting like a high schooler.

On Friday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., voiced her disapproval of Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., after he mocked the chaotic nature of a House Oversight Committee meeting that had descended into a shouting match.

The heated incident occurred during a late-night session on Thursday, where the committee was discussing a resolution to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress. The session quickly deteriorated into a verbal clash involving several representatives, including Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., and Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas.

Sen. Fetterman, known for his willingness to critique his own party, compared the scene to the infamous talk show “The Jerry Springer Show,” which Apple TV describes as a program filled with bleeped-out profanity and guests unafraid to publicly embarrass themselves. Fetterman took to X to express his disdain, saying, “In the past, I’ve described the U.S. House as The Jerry Springer Show. Today, I’m apologizing to The Jerry Springer Show.”

Ocasio-Cortez responded sharply to Fetterman’s remarks, posting, “I understand you likely would not have stood up for your colleague and seem to be confused about racism and misogyny being a ‘both sides’ issue.” She added, “But I stand up to bullies, instead of becoming one. And to the women of Pennsylvania: I’d stand up for you too. Enjoy your Friday.”

Fetterman’s office defended his comment, telling Fox News Digital that his remark was a reaction to the “absurd screaming match of personal attacks” during the committee hearing.

The contentious session saw Rep. Crockett asking Rep. Greene if she understood the purpose of the meeting, to which Greene retorted with a personal jab, “I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading.” Ocasio-Cortez quickly called for Greene’s comment to be stricken from the record, labeling it “absolutely unacceptable.”

Greene sarcastically asked if Ocasio-Cortez’s feelings were hurt, prompting Ocasio-Cortez to retort, “Oh girl, baby girl! Don’t even play!” The incident highlighted the deep divisions and personal animosities that can surface during legislative sessions.
