Even celebrities know Biden is failing.
In a recent interview, Cardi B expressed her disillusionment with both President Biden and the likely GOP nominee, Donald Trump, for the 2024 presidential election. She conveyed a sense of betrayal felt by the public, leading her to reconsider participating in the upcoming election.
Cardi B, who previously endorsed Biden after initially supporting Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., voiced her disappointment with the Biden administration. She cited the rising cost of living and perceived inaction on key issues as reasons for her frustration. “I feel like people got betrayed,” she stated in an interview with Rolling Stone. Cardi B’s disenchantment reflects her belief that solutions to these problems exist but are being ignored. She criticized government spending, suggesting that funds are being misallocated: “You’re spending billions of dollars on any f—— thing,” she said.
Her dissatisfaction isn’t limited to domestic issues. In January 2023, Cardi B posted a viral video on social media condemning the sharp increase in inflation, using the price of lettuce as an example. “Lettuce was like $2 a couple months ago and now it’s like f—ing $7,” she exclaimed, highlighting her concerns over escalating prices.
Furthermore, Cardi B has been vocal about her opposition to U.S. financial support for Ukraine and Israel in their conflicts with Russia and Hamas. She criticized America’s involvement in international conflicts that do not directly benefit the country, questioning the rationale behind funding endless wars. “There’s countries [where] kids are getting killed every single day, but because the [U.S.] won’t benefit from that country, they won’t help,” she argued, adding that America’s actions are often driven by self-interest rather than humanitarian motives.
Recent polling data underscores the contentious political landscape. A survey by the New York Times/Siena College/Philadelphia Inquirer shows Trump leading Biden in key battleground states like Georgia, Nevada, and Arizona. Trump also holds a slight edge in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, while Biden has a narrow lead in Michigan. These states were pivotal in Biden’s 2020 victory, and a shift in their support could potentially return Trump to the White House in 2024.
