Lawmakers Growing Furious With Iran

Iran must be held accountable for its ongoing support of global terrorism, as emphasized by Sen. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., in a recent statement. Speaking on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Mullin highlighted that the current tensions in the Middle East have already reached a critical point.

Mullin stressed that achieving peace requires strength, not appeasement, and affirmed that the U.S. should maintain unwavering support for Israel. He defended Israel’s recent actions, noting that the elimination of a key Hamas leader—who was reportedly supported and sheltered by Tehran—was justified. This situation parallels the U.S. operation against Osama bin Laden in Pakistan, given that the same Iranian-backed terrorist group was responsible for the attacks on Israel on October 7.

Mullin criticized the Biden-Harris administration’s approach, suggesting that its attempts to distance the U.S. from Israel demonstrate a lack of resolve. He argued that under former President Donald Trump, such issues would have been resolved decisively, as Trump’s policies were grounded in a doctrine of strength rather than appeasement. According to Mullin, Trump’s leadership ensured that there was no ambiguity in the U.S.-Israel relationship, which would have prevented the current crisis from escalating.

The senator also warned about the rising threat from Iran, likening it to a snake that must be dealt with decisively. His remarks underscore the need for a firm stance against Iran’s destabilizing actions and support for terrorist organizations.
