VIDEO: Pelosi Laughs At Trump

Pelosi keeps fanning the flames of division.

On Sunday, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) ridiculed former President Donald Trump’s selection of Senator JD Vance (R-Ohio) as his running mate, dismissing it with laughter during a CBS “Sunday Morning” interview. Pelosi, when asked about the potential misstep in Trump’s choice, responded with a derisive tone, suggesting that the pick was less than ideal.

Criticism of Vance’s selection has come from various corners within the Republican Party. Some GOP members argue that Vance, a relatively new senator, might not be the right fit to secure a victory in the upcoming November elections. Additionally, Democrats have been vocal in their disapproval of Vance, targeting his staunch anti-abortion stance and his comments regarding family values, and labeling him as “strange.”

Pelosi went further, describing Vance as “menacing” in her critique. Despite these attacks, Vance has faced challenges in his campaign appearances since his nomination at the Republican National Convention, and he currently contends with a lackluster approval rating.

The choice of Vance has also faced scrutiny for its alignment with many of Trump’s controversial policies, which some argue may not resonate well with the general public. This approach diverges from the traditional strategy of selecting a running mate who offers balance and broader appeal.

However, Vance responded to the criticism with confidence during an appearance on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures.” He dismissed suggestions that Trump’s decision was a mistake and expressed pride in being a target of criticism. “I understand that there are many, including those within the GOP establishment and on the far left, who are unhappy with Donald Trump’s choice of me,” Vance said. “I take their criticism as a badge of honor. The media tends to attack those they perceive as threats to their narrative, and I believe I am here to help expand President Trump’s message to a wider audience.”
