Kamala VP Pick Begged Trump For Help

Tim Walz went from begging Trump for help to now relentlessly bashing him.

Former President Donald Trump recently reflected on his unique encounter with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who has now emerged as a prominent figure in the Democratic Party as their presumptive vice-presidential nominee. Governor Walz is slated to formally accept the nomination during the Democratic National Convention set to take place in Chicago from August 19-22.

During a Fox News interview, Trump recounted a past phone conversation with Walz, recalling an incident involving unrest in Minnesota. Trump mentioned the chaotic period following the death of George Floyd, where protests had erupted across the country. He also touched on the situation surrounding the governor’s mansion on January 6, 2021, though his recollection seemed to blur some details between different events.

“I do know him a bit,” Trump stated regarding Walz. “I provided significant help during the unrest because his residence was encircled by individuals waving American flags. This didn’t seem to be a threatening scenario. He called me, expressing deep concern that things could escalate out of control.”

Trump described how Walz had one guard at his residence and reached out to him for assistance. “He asked if I could publicly affirm that he was a good person. I did just that, stating publicly that he was indeed a good person and hoping everything would resolve peacefully. Subsequently, the crowd, which included both American and MAGA flags, dispersed peacefully.”

Trump reminisced about the call, noting, “I ended the call thinking, ‘Wow, that’s quite something.’ Walz later reached out to thank me. That was my only interaction with him. He’s quite liberal, and his selection as a vice-presidential nominee is surprising. I must say, I am absolutely delighted.”

Trump’s remarks reflect his perspective on Walz and the recent political developments, highlighting his view of the governor’s liberal stance and expressing his satisfaction with the Democratic Party’s choice.
