VIDEO: Trump Gets The Last Laugh

Trump wins again and Americans love to see it.

On Monday, former President Donald Trump made his long-awaited return to X (formerly Twitter) after a nearly year-long absence, which followed his suspension related to the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. This reactivation coincides with his upcoming interview with Elon Musk on the platform.

Trump’s initial post is a 2-minute, 31-second video ad that underscores his commitment to protecting America and his achievements during his presidency. The ad also addresses recent controversies, including the FBI raid on his Mar-a-Lago residence and his legal battles. In the video, Trump expresses disbelief over the circumstances he faces, stating, “I never imagined anything like this happening in America. The only crime I have committed is standing up bravely for our nation against those who want to undermine it.”

The content of the video highlights Trump’s presidency and features supportive imagery of his time in office, including moments with his wife, Melania Trump. Notably, the ad refrains from mentioning his political opponents or the Democratic Party, focusing instead on his own record and message.

In the hour following his return, Trump posted several updates. He questioned the current state of the nation under the Biden administration, stating, “Are you better off now than when I was president? Our economy is in shambles, our borders are unsecured, and our nation is in decline. We need to make the American Dream affordable again. Make America safe again. Make America great again!”

Trump also used his revived account to promote his forthcoming interview with Musk, scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on Monday. Musk has promised the interview will be “unscripted and open to all topics,” inviting X users to submit their questions.

Trump’s previous posts on X before his suspension included statements that were deemed incendiary, such as affirmations of his supporters’ enduring influence and his decision to skip the inauguration of Joe Biden. Musk’s acquisition of X in 2022 led to Trump’s account being reinstated, though he had initially chosen to remain active on his own platform, Truth Social.
