Lawmakers Call Out Kamala’s Bogus Interview
This week, Vice President Kamala Harris’ interview with CNN drew sharp criticism from Rep. Jeff Van Drew, who appeared on Newsmax’s “Saturday Report” to express his disapproval. Van Drew, a Republican from New Jersey, described the interview as “repugnant,” emphasizing his frustration with Harris’ lack of accountability regarding her role in the current border crisis.
Van Drew emphasized that the American people expect a certain level of honesty from their elected officials, particularly those in the highest positions of power. “Kamala Harris was in charge of the border policies during the Biden-Harris administration,” he stated. “The open border situation we face today is directly linked to her actions. Now, as she campaigns for re-election, she’s trying to shift the narrative and pretend that her past decisions had no impact.”
Van Drew condemned Harris for what he sees as disingenuous behavior. “It’s absolutely absurd and misleading for her to now claim that she’ll enforce strong border policies when her administration’s actions over the past three and a half years have done the exact opposite,” he said. According to Van Drew, the Biden administration’s policies—such as halting border wall construction and ending effective immigration enforcement measures—are to blame for the current situation at the border.
He pointed out that the administration’s previous policies, including ‘catch and release,’ the suspension of the ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy, and the removal of expedited removals, have led to a significant increase in illegal immigration. “These were deliberate choices by Harris and Biden, and now they are attempting to mislead the American people with false promises,” Van Drew argued.
Van Drew concluded with a strong critique of the administration’s tactics, accusing them of being disrespectful to the American people. “It’s troubling and disrespectful to see them try to rewrite history and deceive voters. We should not be surprised by their behavior, as it’s all too typical of their approach,” he said.
