So Kamala has resorted to spreading downright lies now?
On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to address recent accusations regarding an alleged altercation at Arlington National Cemetery. Trump firmly refuted claims of any “fight” during the wreath-laying ceremony, labeling the narrative as a fabricated story propagated by Vice President Kamala Harris and her allies.
In his post, Trump clarified that the event was a solemn commemoration marking the three-year anniversary of the tragic deaths of 13 American service members killed during the Abbey Gate attack in Kabul in August 2021. The controversy arose when reports suggested that a member of Trump’s team had allegedly breached restrictions in Section 60 of the cemetery, an area where political activities and photography are prohibited.
Democrats and certain media outlets have criticized Trump, accusing him of exploiting the sacred site for political gain after images from the ceremony appeared in his campaign ads. Vice President Harris took to social media to accuse Trump of disrespecting the hallowed ground for a political stunt.
Trump vehemently rejected these accusations, asserting that Harris and President Biden are attempting to divert attention from their own failings. “Kamala Harris is fabricating this story to distract from the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal—an event that stands as one of the most embarrassing days in American history!” Trump wrote.
He further criticized the media and the Democrats for their response, suggesting that they should have been present at Arlington rather than focusing on partisan criticism. “Instead of being on the beach or preparing for debates, they should have been honoring our heroes,” Trump said. “A heartfelt thank you to the Gold Star families for standing up for the truth and recognizing the day for what it truly was—a moment of honor.”
Concluding his statement, Trump reaffirmed that the ceremony was a respectful and dignified event, insisting that any reports of conflict were purely speculative. “The only real issue here is the false narrative pushed by those undermining our country,” Trump stated. “MAGA2024.”
