Democrat Group Playing Dirty Election Game

In recent developments, a covert operation linked to Democratic consulting firms has been actively working to undermine Republican candidates by running a deceptive scheme to place pro-Donald Trump candidates on the ballot as independents. This effort aims to siphon votes away from Republicans and skew election results in favor of Democratic candidates.

The organization behind this scheme, known as the Patriots Run Project, has invested over $48,000 in Facebook advertisements to recruit right-leaning candidates for the 2024 elections across six critical swing districts. This group has enlisted at least six individuals, spending substantial resources on signature collection, filing fees, and polling to get these candidates on the ballot.

This strategy echoes a similar tactic used by Democrats in the 2022 elections, where they supported more extreme candidates in Republican primaries. The goal was to force moderate Republicans out of the race, making it easier for Democratic candidates to secure victory in the general election. It appears this tactic has been further refined and deployed with even greater sophistication this election cycle.

One candidate, Joe Wiederien, who was recruited to challenge Rep. Zach Nunn (R-IA), withdrew from the race after realizing he was being used as part of a “dirty trick.” Wiederien, a Trump supporter, initially saw the opportunity as a chance to work alongside President Trump but later recognized the deceitful nature of the operation.

Another example is Army veteran Gary Bera, who was also targeted by the Patriots Run Project. Although the operatives assisted him extensively with paperwork and signature collection, they ultimately failed to secure his place on the ballot for Rep. Don Bacon’s (R-NE) seat.

The Patriots Run Project has targeted races in Nebraska, Minnesota, Montana, Virginia, and Iowa. In several of these cases, they collaborated with Common Sense America, an organization closely associated with the Democratic consulting firm Sole Strategies. Sole Strategies has earned substantial fees from Democratic campaigns over the past four years.

The Patriots Run Project’s activities came under scrutiny when Facebook removed their pages for violating ad standards and deceptive practices. Jason Torchinsky, a former DOJ official, has suggested that these actions might constitute criminal behavior, particularly given Iowa’s laws against election fraud.

While the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee denies involvement, the scheme raises serious concerns about the integrity of the electoral process. In a similar vein, efforts to place independent candidates such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West have been made by both parties to disrupt their opponents’ chances. However, the Patriots Run Project’s deceptive approach is a blatant attempt to manipulate election outcomes.

Republican National Committee spokesperson Will Reinert has condemned these tactics, asserting that “Democrats’ shady scheme is a threat to democracy.” This situation underscores the lengths to which some are willing to go to manipulate elections and highlights the need for vigilance and transparency in the political process.
