Clinton Goes After Trump Ally

Hillary is cooking up new problems for MAGA world.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has criticized billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk’s recent comments regarding pop star Taylor Swift, describing them as “unsettling and inappropriate.” The controversy began after Swift voiced her support for Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election on Instagram, which prompted Musk, a supporter of former President Donald Trump, to make a provocative response on his social media platform X. Musk’s post humorously suggested he would offer to give Swift a child and protect her pets.

Clinton, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, responded by condemning Musk’s remarks, suggesting they were not only in poor taste but also deeply disturbing. “I can’t fathom why he would say something like that,” Clinton remarked during her appearance on Kara Swisher’s podcast, “On with Kara Swisher.” She expressed concern that such statements reflect a broader issue within some segments of Trump’s base, particularly those aligned with the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement, which she claims harbors misogynistic attitudes.

Clinton argued that the MAGA faction, including influential figures in the tech industry, often exhibits a disdain for successful women like Swift, who has achieved significant personal and professional milestones. “These individuals seem to have a problem with Taylor Swift’s success and the positive impact she has on her audience, especially young women,” Clinton noted.

The former Secretary of State also suggested that Swift’s endorsement of Harris was strategically timed to amplify Harris’s momentum following the recent debate between Vice President Harris and former President Trump. “Had Taylor’s endorsement occurred before the debate, it might have overshadowed the debate itself. Instead, it came immediately after, fueling further tension,” Clinton observed.

In a separate incident, Trump expressed his disdain for Swift on TruthSocial, exclaiming, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” This response was part of a broader reaction to Swift’s political involvement.

Clinton also addressed Musk’s controversial comment suggesting that no one was attempting to harm Harris, following an attempted assassination of Trump. She emphasized the importance of maintaining respectful political discourse. “We should all commit to having serious discussions about our political differences while firmly rejecting harmful rhetoric,” Clinton told Katie Couric. “Such statements have no place in our political discourse.”
