Trump’s Plan For Israel
President-elect Donald Trump has made it clear that when it comes to Israel’s fight against Iran and its regional terror proxies, he expects nothing less than a “decisive victory.” Elizabeth Pipko, spokeswoman for the Trump campaign, spoke with Channel 12 News on Wednesday, clarifying that Trump’s approach to foreign conflicts is rooted in his commitment to ending wars swiftly, but with a clear, undeniable win.
Trump’s stance on conflict resolution has always been straightforward: He wants wars to end with as few innocent lives lost as possible. Whether it’s the ongoing crisis in Gaza or the tensions between Russia and Ukraine, Trump prioritizes minimizing casualties while securing a victory. “I believe he wants the war to end as soon as possible, like all rational people do,” Pipko said, emphasizing that the president-elect’s focus is on bringing wars to a close in a way that ensures long-term peace and security.
Pipko also drew a stark contrast between Trump’s approach to the Middle East and the current administration’s policies under President Joe Biden. She argued that the Biden administration’s hesitation and lack of clear direction have prolonged conflicts, especially with regards to American hostages in the region. “You have to be decisive,” Pipko said. “I have not seen that from our leadership.” According to her, the Biden administration’s indecisiveness has only resulted in unnecessary bloodshed and instability, highlighting a failure to address the real threats posed by regimes like Iran and terrorist groups like Hamas.
Had Trump been in office when Hamas launched its brutal October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, Pipko believes the situation would have unfolded very differently. She insists that Trump would have acted quickly and decisively to protect American interests and Israel’s security. “I also believe the response on October 8, had it happened, would have been very, very different,” she said.
Trump’s vision for peace in the region is clear: You finish the fight, secure victory, and move on to the next phase—peace. “Israel has to be very careful,” Trump said in a recent interview with Israel Hayom. “You’re losing a lot of the world’s support; you have to finish up, you have to get the job done.” For Trump, this means ensuring that Israel is not bogged down in a prolonged conflict but instead moves toward lasting peace.
In a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump reaffirmed his commitment to Israel’s security and vowed to work together to confront shared threats, particularly the Iranian regime. Netanyahu praised Trump’s “historic return” to the White House, recognizing the strong and enduring alliance between Israel and the United States under Trump’s leadership. As Trump prepares to return to the White House in January 2025, his message is clear: decisive action, protection of American allies, and a commitment to peace.
