Trump Reveals His Transition Team

On Friday, former President Donald Trump announced the key figures who will lead his transition team should he win the presidency again. The transition team will be co-chaired by Linda McMahon, former head of the Small Business Administration during Trump’s initial term, and Howard Lutnick, the CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald.

McMahon and Lutnick will head the transition efforts, according to a press release from Trump’s campaign. Additionally, Senator JD Vance (R-Ohio), who is Trump’s running mate, along with his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, will serve as honorary chairs of the team.

Trump highlighted the goals of his 2024 campaign, stating, “The agenda for the 2024 GOP Platform to Make America Great Again focuses on ensuring safety, economic growth, and freedom for all Americans. My administration will fulfill these ambitious promises, restoring strength, competence, and practical decision-making to the White House. I am confident that the Trump-Vance Administration will be fully prepared to govern from the very first day.”

It is customary for presidential candidates to form a transition team before Election Day to facilitate a seamless shift into office if they win.

Howard Lutnick recently demonstrated his support for Trump by hosting a fundraiser in the Hamptons, while Linda McMahon, who co-founded World Wrestling Entertainment Inc., has played a significant role in promoting Trump’s policies through the America First Policy Institute.

Donald Trump Jr. has been vocal about his desire to be involved in staffing a second Trump administration. At the recent Republican National Convention, he expressed his intention to play a role in filtering out individuals he deems untrustworthy, stating he wants to “block the liars” and “bad actors” from the administration.
