Trump Exposes Kamala’s Secret

Following the release of a disappointing July jobs report, the Trump campaign wasted no time in linking Vice President Kamala Harris to the Biden administration’s economic policies.

The Labor Department’s Statistical numbers showed that nonfarm payrolls grew by around 114,000 jobs in July, a significant slowdown compared to the revised figure of 179,000 jobs in June. Additionally, the unemployment rate ticked up to 4.3%, raising concerns that the labor market may be weakening and could potentially push the economy toward a recession.

Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt quickly seized on the news, asserting that Harris has been a key proponent of Biden’s economic policies. “Kamala Harris has been a vocal supporter of ‘Bidenomics,'” Leavitt stated. “She cast decisive votes in the Senate for spending policies that have exacerbated inflation, and despite the mounting evidence of economic distress, she insists these policies are successful. The cost of living for essentials like food, gas, and housing has surged, unemployment is on the rise, and yet Kamala seems indifferent to the struggles of American families.”

The grim job numbers led to a global stock sell-off, with Wall Street experiencing another downturn. Investors are increasingly anxious about whether the U.S. economy can sustain its growth until the Federal Reserve potentially lowers interest rates.

President Joe Biden, who announced his decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race on July 21, has frequently promoted his economic agenda, ‘Bidenomics,’ as a driver of a strong economy despite persistent inflation.

Recent Gallup data reveals that Americans’ confidence in the economy remains low. The Gallup Economic Confidence Index for July stands at minus-35, indicating widespread dissatisfaction. This index, which ranges from plus-100 to minus-100, reflects the public’s perception of current economic conditions. Additionally, 70% of Americans believe the economy is “getting worse,” a sentiment consistent with June’s figures.
