We knew Pelosi disliked Biden but Hillary too? Yikes!
Recently, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton shared some candid reflections about her political choices and her support for Vice President Kamala Harris. In a recording from the epilogue of her upcoming book, Something Lost, Something Gained, Clinton vividly described her enthusiasm for Harris as the Democratic nominee.
Clinton recounted a moment of excitement after her phone call with Harris, saying, “After I got off the phone with the vice president, I looked at Bill with a huge smile and said, ‘This is exciting!’” The recording, initially broadcast on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” illustrates her commitment to the Democratic cause.
Having previously supported President Biden, Clinton has now thrown Biden under the bus and has given her full support behind Harris. She has expressed strong hopes that Harris will become the nation’s first female president, a milestone Clinton views as both thrilling and essential. “I felt security, I felt passion. It was exhilarating!” Clinton exclaimed. She envisions Harris taking the oath of office and believes it would symbolize a brighter future for the country, demonstrating progress and unity after years of political division.
Clinton also offered praise for Biden, acknowledging his contributions to the nation. She remarked, “Democrats have lost our standard-bearer. We are going to miss Biden’s strong leadership, empathy, and tough spirit. He is a wise and decent man who served our country well.” Despite the loss, Clinton believes that the party has gained a new champion in Harris, along with a renewed sense of purpose and an energized campaign.
In a recent interview, Clinton addressed the challenges Harris faces, particularly the complexities of the Electoral College system. Clinton noted, “We’re the underdog, that’s just how it goes when we have the Electoral College staring at you, and we need to be willing to take the steps needed to support her.” This perspective reflects her own experiences and the ongoing struggles within the political landscape.
