Hillary Derails Biden’s 2024 Run

Hillary just dealt a major blow to Democrat voters and it’s kind of hilarious.

President Biden’s path to a second term appears somewhat smoother with the recent announcement from No Labels that they won’t be fielding a candidate in this year’s election. However, a new wrinkle has emerged courtesy of Hillary Clinton, who stirred controversy by telling disgruntled voters to “get over yourself” during a recent talk show appearance.

Many Democrats had criticized No Labels, fearing that their potential challenge could inadvertently benefit former President Trump. However, the group failed to recruit any significant political figure to run under its banner, including notable figures like Sen. Joe Manchin and former Governors Larry Hogan and Chris Christie.

In explaining their decision, No Labels emphasized the need for “unifying national leadership” but admitted they couldn’t find a candidate with a credible path to victory. This retreat removes one potential obstacle for Biden, though other challenges remain.

Recent polling shows Trump leading Biden in key battleground states, raising concerns among Democrats. Additionally, Biden’s stance on issues like Israel’s conflict with Gaza has sparked discontent within his own party.

Meanwhile, alternative candidates like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are gaining traction, albeit marginally impacting Biden’s support. Other contenders, such as Jill Stein and Cornel West, present challenges from the left, further complicating Biden’s reelection bid.

Clinton’s remarks on the “Tonight Show,” urging voters to accept the binary choice between Biden and Trump, have sparked debate within Democratic circles. While some defend her tough stance as necessary in a pivotal election, others argue it risks alienating disaffected voters.

Democratic strategist Mark Longabaugh believes inspirational messaging focusing on Biden’s achievements would resonate more with younger voters than admonishment. Similarly, political science professor Grant Reeher warns against reinforcing negative perceptions of establishment Democrats.

Despite the controversy, some see Clinton’s remarks as a call to recognize the significance of the election’s choices. Basil Smikle Jr., a Democratic strategist, suggests her blunt language underscores the importance of voters’ decision in shaping the nation’s future.

As November approaches, the White House hopes voters will heed this message. However, with uncertainties abound, the outcome remains far from assured.
