At a recent rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump outlined an ambitious vision for the future of America, including a bold plan to land the United States on Mars by 2029. Trump emphasized his commitment to space exploration, signaling his intention to collaborate with Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, to make this goal a reality.
“We’re going to achieve this together,” Trump declared, urging Musk to accelerate the development of rocket technology. “We want to reach Mars before the end of my term, and we’re going to do it with military protection in space, because that’s the future.”
During the rally, Trump took pride in his establishment of the Space Force, the newest branch of the U.S. military, which he created in December 2019. He highlighted its significance by contrasting it with the previous 79 years since the formation of the Air Force. “Space Force is our ticket to ensuring American leadership in the cosmos,” he stated. “When I took office, we were falling behind. Now we are leading the charge against rivals like Russia and China.”
Trump’s vision for America extends beyond space. He promised to revitalize U.S. cities, ensuring they are safe, clean, and beautiful once more. “We will maintain the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency,” he warned, “because losing that would be like losing a war. We cannot let that happen.”
