Trump To Reveal V.P. Pick Soon
Danielle Alvarez, a senior adviser to the Trump 2024 campaign, shared with Newsmax on Wednesday that former President Donald Trump is considering announcing his vice-presidential running mate as early as next week, although she refrained from confirming any speculation about potential candidates.
According to a recent report from The Washington Post, Trump has narrowed down his choices to three individuals: Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio, and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum.
During her appearance on “Wake Up America,” Alvarez responded to inquiries about the reported shortlist and the timing of Trump’s announcement.
“The timing of the announcement is ultimately up to the president,” Alvarez explained. She hinted that the announcement could happen “as early as Monday,” emphasizing that the official vice-presidential nominee traditionally delivers their speech at the Republican National Convention, scheduled for July 17.
In a recent interview with Fox News, Trump expressed enthusiasm about potentially revealing his running mate during the convention, describing it as a strategic move to build excitement and significance for the event.
Alvarez contrasted the Republican Party’s unity with what she portrayed as disarray among the Democrats. She critiqued the uncertainty surrounding the Democratic ticket, particularly regarding Vice President Kamala Harris, whom she described as a “terrifying notion.” Alvarez expressed confidence in Trump’s selection process, predicting that whoever he chooses will significantly enhance the Republican ticket compared to President Biden, Vice President Harris, or any other potential Democratic candidates.
Reflecting on Trump’s priorities for his running mate, Alvarez noted, “The president has consistently emphasized the importance of selecting someone who is capable of fulfilling the responsibilities of the office.”
As anticipation mounts within political circles, Trump’s forthcoming decision on his running mate remains a focal point of interest and speculation ahead of the Republican National Convention.
