Trump Makes His Cabinet Even Larger
Ahead of his January inauguration, President-elect Donald Trump unveiled a fresh round of key appointments for his upcoming administration, signaling a strong commitment to securing America’s future and maintaining an unwavering focus on conservative principles. Among the new selections were Devin Nunes, Troy Edgar, and Bill White, each chosen for their expertise and dedication to the country.
Trump tapped Devin Nunes, CEO of Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), to chair the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board. Nunes, a stalwart Republican and former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, brings invaluable experience to the role. As the head of the House Intelligence Committee from 2015 to 2019, Nunes played a pivotal role in exposing the politically motivated “Russia Hoax,” and he will now use his deep understanding of intelligence matters to provide independent assessments on the U.S. Intelligence Community’s activities. Trump praised Nunes’ leadership, stating that his experience would be crucial in ensuring the effectiveness of intelligence operations.
Troy Edgar, a seasoned executive with IBM and former Mayor of Los Alamitos, California, was nominated for the role of Deputy Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Edgar’s extensive background in finance, combined with his leadership in overseeing a $90 billion budget and 240,000 employees, makes him a formidable choice to protect America’s borders and safeguard the nation’s security. Trump highlighted Edgar’s role in leading the pushback against sanctuary cities, an effort crucial to the safety of American communities.
Finally, Trump named Bill White as ambassador to Belgium. White, an accomplished businessman and philanthropist, has dedicated much of his life to supporting U.S. military veterans and their families, raising over $1.5 billion for fallen heroes and wounded service members. White’s track record of leadership and support for America’s heroes aligns perfectly with Trump’s vision for strong international relations and respect for the sacrifices made by those who defend the country.
These appointments showcase Trump’s commitment to assembling a team of experienced leaders who will work tirelessly to safeguard America’s interests both at home and abroad. With a focus on security, intelligence, and patriotism, Trump’s selections are a clear signal that the Make America Great Again movement remains alive and strong.
