Tom Homan Trashes Democrat
Tom Homan, President-elect Trump’s newly appointed Border Czar, recently fired back at Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) after she criticized his plans for handling the border crisis. Crockett, appearing on MSNBC, lambasted the Trump administration’s approach to mass deportations, claiming it would lead to the separation of families and force migrants into detention camps.
Homan, a seasoned law enforcement leader who previously served as Acting Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), responded to these attacks during an interview on Newsmax. In his usual direct style, Homan dismissed Crockett’s comments, saying, “I don’t know who this lady is, and I don’t care what they say about me. I’ve done this job for a long time.” Homan, who’s been a staunch advocate for strong border security and enforcement, emphasized that his mission is clear: “President Trump has given me a mandate to fix the border and save lives. The American people voted for him to do just that.”
Homan’s statement reflects his deep commitment to securing the U.S.-Mexico border, which he believes is an issue of national security and public safety. He pointed out that the Biden administration’s policies have led to a disastrous surge in illegal immigration, which he argues puts both Americans and migrants in danger. According to Homan, the Biden administration’s failure to enforce the law has resulted in tragic deaths and criminal activity.
One of the most controversial aspects of Homan’s approach is his support for holding migrant families in detention centers, a policy he plans to reinstate. This proposal has drawn sharp criticism, including from Crockett, who called it a form of family separation. However, Homan made it clear that “family detention” is not the same as “family separation.” He explained that detaining families together is far better than letting them roam freely while waiting for a court hearing, which often leads to further illegal immigration.
Homan’s focus is on securing the border and restoring order to the immigration system, as he believes it is essential for the safety and well-being of all Americans, as well as migrants. For Homan, this isn’t just a political issue—it’s a matter of saving lives.
