Kamala Tied With Trump?

Is Kamala actually tied to Trump?

Recent Fox News polls reveal a competitive landscape in key battleground states, with Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump essentially tied in several critical areas. This comes on the heels of President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential race, followed by his endorsement of Harris.

According to surveys conducted by Fox News, which were announced on Friday evening by anchor Bret Baier on Special Report, the race is closely contested in Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. In Michigan, both Harris and Trump are tied at 49 percent support among registered voters. In Minnesota, Harris leads Trump by a margin of six points, with a 52-46 percent split.

In Pennsylvania, the race is also neck-and-neck, with each candidate receiving 49 percent of the vote. However, in Wisconsin, Trump holds a slight edge over Harris, garnering 50 percent support compared to Harris’s 49 percent. Notably, Minnesota is the only state where the results fall outside the margin of error, which is +/- three points. In the 2020 election, Biden secured Minnesota by a narrow margin of just over seven points.

Historically, Minnesota has been a challenge for Republicans; the last GOP victory there was under President Gerald Ford in 1976. Meanwhile, Trump won in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin during the 2016 election but narrowly lost these states in 2020.

The surveys, conducted from July 22 to July 24, reflect a significant moment in the election cycle. Baier pointed out that Harris’s performance against Trump appears to be stronger compared to Biden’s standings before his exit from the race. Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy indicated that these polling numbers could play a crucial role in mitigating any potential challenges to Harris’s candidacy at the upcoming Democratic National Convention.
