Kamala’s Husband Attacks Trump

They will try to pin anything on Trump won’t they?

In a recent statement, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff attacked former President Trump for failing to distance himself from North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson (R), labeling Trump’s previous endorsement of Robinson as “shameful.”

During an interview with MSNBC’s Jen Psaki, set to air on Sunday, Emhoff addressed Robinson’s controversial remarks, including self-referential comments that raised eyebrows. “It’s astonishing that Donald Trump was in Wilmington, just a stone’s throw from where I’m sitting, yet couldn’t bring himself to disavow Robinson’s statements. He tried to sidestep the issue, but he didn’t clearly reject what Robinson has said,” Emhoff remarked, emphasizing the gravity of the situation.

Recent reports have linked Robinson to a series of offensive comments made on a message board, which he has vehemently denied. Despite these allegations, Robinson is determined to continue his campaign against Democratic challenger Josh Stein, maintaining his position within the Republican Party.

When pressed about Trump’s response, Emhoff noted, “It’s nothing short of cowardice. A strong Republican Party is essential for our nation. We need leaders who can stand up for American values, even if they don’t always agree on policies.” He pointed to figures like Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger as examples of Republicans willing to prioritize integrity over party loyalty, stating, “We might not see eye to eye on every issue, but we must unite around what it means to be Americans.”

Emhoff also took issue with Trump’s past comparison of Robinson to Martin Luther King Jr., insisting that Trump’s failure to disavow Robinson’s comments reflects poorly on the former president’s judgment and the Republican Party as a whole. Furthermore, he condemned Trump’s recent remarks at an antisemitism awareness event, which suggested that Jewish individuals might bear some responsibility if he were to lose in November. “This is not just an affront to Jewish communities; it’s an issue that should concern all Americans,” Emhoff stated, underlining the need for unity and respect across the political spectrum.

As the election draws near, Emhoff’s comments serve as a reminder of the ongoing debates within the GOP and the critical importance of leadership that aligns with core American values.
