Mark Zuckerberg Endorses Trump?

This has enraged Democrats.

Former President Donald Trump has recently angered Democrats by claiming that Mark Zuckerberg, the tech giant behind Facebook, expressed a strong stance regarding the upcoming election. According to Trump, Zuckerberg reached out to him after a recent assassination attempt, indicating he would not support any Democrat in this election cycle.

In a conversation with reporter Olivia Nuzzi, Trump recounted receiving numerous supportive messages from notable figures, including Zuckerberg and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Trump specifically highlighted a phone call from Zuckerberg, who allegedly stated, “I’ve never supported a Republican before, but there’s no way I can vote for a Democrat in this election.” Trump emphasized that this was particularly striking given Zuckerberg’s traditionally Democratic ties.

Trump further mentioned that Zuckerberg’s communication was a reaction to the current political climate, with Zuckerberg supposedly remarking that he would never back the Democrats running against Trump. “I think it was very natural what I did,” Trump asserted, defending his actions and suggesting that many people appreciated his response to the attack.

In response, Meta, Zuckerberg’s company, has denied Trump’s account. A Meta spokesperson stated, “Mark has publicly said he’s not endorsing any candidate in this election and has not shared how he plans to vote with anyone.”

Zuckerberg, whose fortune is estimated at over $170 billion, remains a significant figure in the tech industry. His company, Facebook, has faced substantial criticism in recent election cycles for its role in managing misinformation and handling user data. As the 2024 election approaches, figures like Zuckerberg continue to be under close scrutiny, reflecting their influence on the political and media landscape.
