Top Democrat Says Trump Will Win?

Here’s what he had to say…

Former President Donald Trump’s connection with the people of Pennsylvania is both significant and unique, as highlighted by Democratic Senator John Fetterman. Speaking at the 2024 Atlantic Festival, Fetterman acknowledged Trump’s substantial influence within the state and the Republican Party as a whole.

Fetterman noted that Trump has established a remarkable bond with Pennsylvanians, particularly following an attempted assassination at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July. The incident, which left Trump with a superficial wound, intensified the loyalty of his supporters, further solidifying his presence in the state. “Trump has a special kind of place in Pennsylvania,” Fetterman remarked, recognizing that this connection has only grown stronger amid adversity.

The senator pointed out a palpable energy and passion among Trump’s base in Pennsylvania, likening his campaign signs to the state flower due to their omnipresence. This fervor reflects the strong commitment of his supporters, which cannot be underestimated.

Despite the strong enthusiasm for Trump, recent polling shows that Vice President Kamala Harris has a narrow lead over him in the state, following President Biden’s decision not to seek re-election. A Washington Post poll indicates Harris at 48% and Trump at 47%, while a New York Times poll shows her with a slightly larger advantage at 50% compared to Trump’s 46%.

However, Fetterman expressed skepticism about these poll numbers, drawing parallels to Hillary Clinton’s once-comfortable lead in 2016, which ultimately did not translate into victory. “People thought it was in the bag, but that’s not what I’m witnessing across the state,” he stated, emphasizing that the current political climate in Pennsylvania may not align with the polling data.

As Trump’s supporters continue to rally around him, they understand his message and persona, viewing them as features rather than flaws. This unwavering dedication suggests that, regardless of what polls may indicate, the heart of Pennsylvania remains firmly aligned with Trump and his vision for America.
