Trump Agrees To One More Debate?

Here’s what Trump had to say…

Former President Donald Trump has made it clear that he will not participate in another debate with Vice President Kamala Harris before Election Day, putting to rest any speculation about a potential rematch. In a recent all-caps post on Truth Social, Trump proudly declared, “I won the last two debates,” reinforcing his belief in his debating prowess. This announcement followed a last-minute push by Fox News to host another debate.

Trump, now 78, recalled his previous debates: one with President Biden in June and another with Harris in September. He also pointed out that he had accepted an invitation for a debate on September 4, but Harris declined. This refusal, he suggested, illustrates her unwillingness to engage on the issues.

In his post, Trump emphasized his confidence in the polls, asserting that he is gaining ground daily, especially in critical swing states. He likened Harris’s calls for a rematch to a prizefighter demanding another shot after a loss, stating, “It is very late in the process, voting has already begun – there will be no rematch!”

Fox News had suggested two potential dates, October 24 and October 27, for a final debate, with plans for anchors Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum to moderate. Meanwhile, CNN had set a deadline for Trump to respond to an invitation for an October 23 debate in Atlanta, which Harris had already accepted.

In response to recent comments by Harris, where she asserted that she would follow Biden’s policies, Trump argued that this rendered further debate unnecessary. He concluded his post with a signature sign-off, thanking his supporters for their attention.

This strong stance underscores Trump’s determination to focus on the election campaign rather than engaging in what he perceives as futile debates. As the election approaches, it’s clear that he is ready to rally his base and continue his message without distraction.
