Is Trump right?
President-elect Donald Trump has once again sounded the alarm on the state of the United States, describing the country as a “disaster” and a “laughing stock” under the current administration. His fiery response came after a deadly terrorist attack in New Orleans and an explosion involving a Tesla Cybertruck outside his Las Vegas hotel, both of which authorities are investigating as terror-related incidents.
Trump wasted no time in addressing the situation, using his Truth Social platform to slam the nation’s weak leadership. He laid the blame for America’s deteriorating security directly at the feet of the federal government and its failure to protect citizens. “The DOJ, FBI, and Democrat prosecutors are corrupt and incompetent,” he stated, accusing them of prioritizing political attacks on him rather than defending the American people from threats, both foreign and domestic.
In typical Trump fashion, he didn’t hold back, calling out what he saw as a complete breakdown in the country’s safety and national security. “Our country is falling apart. Safety is eroding. National security is crumbling. The very foundations of our democracy are under attack by violent scum that have infiltrated every level of our government and society,” he said.
His comments came in the wake of two tragic incidents. A U.S. Army veteran, waving an ISIS flag, used a pickup truck to mow down New Year’s Eve revelers in New Orleans, killing at least 14 people and injuring dozens more. The FBI is treating this as a possible terrorist act, and early reports suggest the attacker did not act alone. Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, the explosion of a Tesla Cybertruck near Trump’s hotel has also been linked to possible terrorism, with authorities finding fireworks mortars and fuel canisters in the vehicle’s bed.
Trump’s message was clear: America’s leadership is failing, and the nation is paying the price. It’s time for strong, decisive leadership that prioritizes the safety of American citizens over political battles.
