Trump Calls Who A ‘Low Life’?

Trump’s comments have raised eyebrows.

Former President Donald Trump has publicly rebuked his former chief of staff, retired General John Kelly, labeling him a “lowlife” and a “total degenerate.” This response comes in light of Kelly’s recent interviews, where he characterized Trump’s leadership style as dangerously authoritarian and suggested he has an unsettling admiration for dictators.

In a statement on his Truth Social platform, Trump defended his record during his presidency, asserting that Kelly’s remarks stem from “pure Trump Derangement Syndrome.” Trump criticized Kelly’s dual nature of being both tough and ineffective, claiming that over time, Kelly became soft and unreliable. He dismissed Kelly’s narratives as fabrications, stating, “The story about the Soldiers was A LIE, as are numerous other stories he told.”

Trump emphasized his commitment to setting the record straight, even against what he considers unfounded criticisms. He stated, “John Kelly is a LOWLIFE, and a bad General, whose advice in the White House I no longer sought, and told him to MOVE ON!”

Kelly’s interviews have attracted attention, particularly his comments to The New York Times, where he suggested Trump fits the general definition of fascism. He also recounted a troubling moment where Trump allegedly expressed a desire for the military to emulate “Hitler’s generals” regarding loyalty.

Vice President Kamala Harris has seized upon these allegations, condemning Trump as “unhinged” and warning that in a potential second term, the lack of moderating influences, like Kelly, could lead to unchecked power. She stated, “We know what Donald Trump wants. He wants unchecked power.”

This ongoing feud highlights a significant divide in the Republican Party, as former allies publicly clash over Trump’s controversial legacy and approach to governance. As Trump continues to rally his base, the question remains whether these internal disputes will reshape his support as the 2024 election approaches.
