Trump Deploys More Troops

Trump means business.

The Biden administration’s failure to secure the southern border has left American citizens vulnerable to the overwhelming tide of illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and human smuggling. In response, former President Donald Trump is once again pushing for action, this time sending up to 1,500 U.S. troops to bolster border security. This move comes as the Pentagon prepares to deploy additional forces to assist Border Patrol agents in addressing the crisis.

Trump’s decision is a direct reflection of his continued commitment to prioritizing American security and sovereignty. Acting Defense Secretary Robert Salesses is expected to finalize the deployment order soon, though the exact number of troops and the units involved are still being determined. As Trump promised during his campaign, he intends to use the full force of the U.S. military to curb the illegal migration that has overwhelmed our border communities.

This deployment comes just days after Trump signed a series of executive orders aimed at restoring order to the border. One of those orders declares a national emergency, granting the authority needed to ramp up military presence. Another authorizes U.S. Northern Command (Northcom) to develop a comprehensive strategy for securing the border in the face of what the administration calls an “invasion” of illegal migrants.

The president’s order gives military commanders the tools necessary to respond swiftly to the crisis. Already, Northcom has a mission based out of Fort Bliss, Texas, known as Joint Task Force-North, which supports Customs and Border Protection (CBP) through logistical and monitoring efforts. However, the new orders could go even further, expanding military involvement to enhance border enforcement in ways that have never been seen before.

While critics claim the use of military force against illegal immigrants raises legal concerns, the reality is that the situation at the southern border has reached a crisis level. The safety of American citizens must come first, and President Trump’s executive actions are a necessary step to defend the nation’s borders, protect communities, and restore the rule of law. Trump’s leadership is once again showing that strong, decisive action is the only way to confront the growing threat of unlawful migration and criminal activity.

In addition to the military deployment, Trump has also moved to reinstate the “Remain in Mexico” policy, a critical piece of his strategy to curb illegal immigration. Under this policy, migrants must wait in Mexico while their asylum claims are processed, helping to deter those attempting to exploit loopholes in our immigration system. The Biden administration has failed to take such decisive measures, leaving the nation exposed to threats from within and outside our borders. Trump’s renewed efforts stand in stark contrast to the current administration’s failure to act.
