Trump Gives Kamala Something To Cry About

The left isn’t happy about this!

Recent polling indicates that Donald Trump is resonating more with American voters than Kamala Harris. Despite both candidates experiencing challenges in popularity, they maintain strong backing from their respective party bases. According to Gallup’s latest survey, conducted between September 3 and 15, only 44% of respondents view Harris favorably, while a notable 54% express an unfavorable opinion of her. This represents a decline for Harris, who had shown signs of gaining momentum earlier this summer, reaching a near parity in favorability ratings.

Interestingly, even after her debate performance against Trump—widely perceived as a win for Harris—her favorability dropped by three points. Meanwhile, Trump has seen a positive shift in his numbers; his favorability has increased from 41% in August to 46% now, though he still faces a 53% unfavorable rating. This shows that while Trump remains a polarizing figure, his appeal appears to be growing among the electorate.

Notably, both candidates enjoy robust support from their party loyalists: 93% of Republicans view Trump favorably, while 97% of Democrats support Harris. However, among independents, Trump holds a slight edge, garnering 44% favorability compared to Harris’s 35%. This trend suggests that as the election approaches, Trump could potentially sway undecided voters more effectively than Harris.

Looking back at past elections, it’s clear that both candidates are facing an uphill battle. Neither has achieved a majority-level favorability rating in recent presidential races. In fact, Trump’s current favorability is better than it was at this time in both the 2016 and 2020 elections, when he recorded ratings of just 33% and 41%, respectively.

As the race progresses, it remains to be seen how these dynamics will play out, but for now, it appears that Trump’s appeal continues to resonate more broadly across the political landscape.
