Trump PAC Dropping Big Money

MAGA Inc., a leading super PAC aligned with former President Donald Trump, has announced a substantial ad campaign totaling $100 million leading up to Labor Day, according to Politico. This significant investment in television advertisements will target key battleground states, including Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina.

In a memo obtained by Politico, MAGA Inc.’s strategists, David Lee and Chris Grant, outlined their plan to highlight Vice President Kamala Harris as a “soft-on-crime radical unfit for the White House.” The memo criticized Harris’s positions and policies, emphasizing a narrative that portrays her as an extreme liberal whose views are too radical for mainstream American voters. “Americans might consider a liberal candidate, but they will reject a radical,” Lee and Grant wrote, reflecting the super PAC’s strategy to draw a stark contrast between Trump and his opponents.

This ad campaign is strategically timed to coincide with the Democratic National Convention, aiming to capitalize on the opportunity to critique Harris’s record and policies. The focus will be on her immigration stance and her past as a prosecutor, with the intent to undermine her recent rise in prominence following President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the race.

In terms of financial backing, MAGA Inc. has seen substantial support, raising $120 million since the Republican National Convention began. Notably, $76.5 million of this total was contributed by Timothy Mellon, a transportation executive. Overall, MAGA Inc. has amassed an impressive $318 million since its establishment in 2022.

Lee and Grant have taken the helm of the super PAC following the departure of Taylor Budowich, who left to join Trump’s campaign. Their leadership marks a new phase for MAGA Inc., with a clear focus on shaping the narrative ahead of the upcoming election.
