Was Justice Alito's Call With Trump 'Entirely Inappropriate'?

Roger Stone Trashes The Left

Roger Stone, a former adviser to President Trump, has sharply criticized California’s management of its wildfires, placing the blame squarely on what he described as the state’s liberal and “woke” policies. Speaking on Newsmax’s “Saturday Report,” Stone argued that the crisis was a direct result of the state’s left-wing approach to governance.

California is currently grappling with five major wildfires that have tragically claimed at least 11 lives and destroyed thousands of homes and structures. The blazes have scorched over 39,000 acres, displacing tens of thousands of residents, especially in areas like Los Angeles County. Stone contended that the state’s liberal policies have played a critical role in exacerbating the disaster.

“California’s wildfires are the result of years of liberal mismanagement,” Stone said. He pointed to the restrictions placed on water resources, noting that environmental concerns for endangered species, such as certain fish, have limited the water supply available for firefighting efforts. “There was simply not enough water to fight the flames because of these misguided priorities,” Stone explained.

In addition to the water shortage, Stone criticized California’s hiring practices, claiming that firefighters are often selected based on race, gender, or other social justice factors, rather than on their actual qualifications or ability to combat wildfires. “When the focus is on diversity instead of competence, the safety of Californians is put at risk,” Stone asserted.

As wildfires continue to ravage California, with some blazes remaining only partially contained, Stone’s criticism highlights broader concerns about the state’s leadership. He also pointed to the state’s ongoing challenges with homelessness, rising crime, and a struggling economy, calling California “an economic basket case” despite being one of the most beautiful states in the country.

Former President Donald Trump has echoed Stone’s criticism, calling for the resignation of Governor Gavin Newsom, whom he accused of mismanaging the wildfire crisis. Financial analysts have warned that the economic toll from these wildfires could exceed $50 billion.

In the face of this mounting disaster, many are questioning whether California’s progressive policies are contributing to the state’s increasing vulnerability to natural disasters.
